‘Losing It’ Voted #2 in the 2018 triple j Hottest 100 Countdown

1 Feb 2019

Australian DJ and producer FISHER has started 2019 with a bang, with his massive hit ‘Losing It’ taking out the #2 spot in this year’s triple j Hottest 100 countdown! The 20th anniversary of the countdown saw listeners submit 2.75 million individual song votes, beating last year's record by about 15 per cent. FISHER makes history as the highest charting house track of all time.

Since its release, ‘Losing It’ has ticked a plethora of boxes. The track was one of the most played and requested songs on triple j in 2018, and topped the countdown following a massive year for the surfer-turned-DJ which included ARIA and Grammy Award nominations, and achieving Gold certification in Australia.

‘Losing It’ was the most-played song at Tomorrowland 2018, the most-played song on 1001 Tracklists for over half the year, the bestselling song of the year on Beatport, and topped the ARIA Club Chart ...and is still charting after 26 weeks. The list goes on.

‘Losing It’ has started to break through at commercial radio both in Australia and in the UK, where it’s been in a B-List rotation at BBC Radio 1 and climbed into the top 10 of the UK Shazam chart. The single also reached the coveted #1 spot on the Billboard Dance chart in the US, #25 on the Global Spotify viral chart and top 50 of the worldwide Shazam chart – making it a true global success story for the Gold Coast-born FISHER.

Since his debut Australian show playing inside a bus at Mountain Sounds festival in February 2018, FISHER has gone on to play some of the largest Australian festivals, with prime time sets at Listen Out, Field Day, Your Paradise, Origin Fields and Beyond The Valley. He has just this week been announced to return to home shores for regional touring festival Groovin The Moo in April, following on from his highly billed slot at Coachella in the US.  Since February 2018 FISHER has been on one epic world tour, performing to crowds in their thousands in Ibiza, Brazil, Canada, United States and the United Kingdom. This month, FISHER has been announced to grace the stage some of the world’s biggest festivals, including Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza & Parklife, as well as being snapped up for a coveted Las Vegas residency at Wynn Nightlife.

FISHER now counts names like Chris Hemsworth, Matt Damon and Kelly Slater as fans and friends, who join his ever-growing group of fanatical followers. He’s even gotten a shout out from multi-millionaire tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, who has been ‘Losing It’ as well.

There’s no stopping the roll FISHER is on, and with new music coming shortly, you better Follow the Fish!
