FISHER Signs New Recordings Deal with etcetc Music

TMN’s Indie label of the Year etcetc Music announce the signing of rising superstar FISHER to its growing roster of artists. After working with FISHER on breakout singles ‘Stop It’ and ‘Ya Kidding’, the two have engaged in a long term recordings deal for the Australian whos growing global footprint is nothing short meteoric.

“The froth is big and the tunes are there, each as big as the last. We have an exciting summer ahead.” Aden Mullens, Head of etcetc Music.

2018 has been the year of FISHER who has dominated not just the local scene (with a track in full rotation at Triple J since January and 2x Top 20 Shazam appearances) but also globally, with his current single ‘Losing It’ reporting peaks at 78 in the Shazam Global chart and 33 on Spotify’s Global Viral chart (where it sits in 22 county charts including USA, UK, Germany) just this week. While ‘Losing It’ crosses into new audiences, the track still holds court at #1 on DJ portal Beatport chart since its release 9 weeks ago.

“I’m happy to be partnering with etcetc as I kick-start releases through Catch & Release. There’s a strong team there who understand me and what we’re looking to achieve over the next few years.” says Paul Fisher.

As the rest of the free world cottons on to unstoppable nature of FISHER, The Gold Coast ex-professional surfer has culminated a fanatical fanbase, and now counts names like Chris Hemsworth (his review of ‘Ya Kidding’), Matt Damon and Kelly Slater as friends.

Since February FISHER has been on one epic northern hemisphere tour performing to crowds in their thousands in Ibiza, Brazil, United States and, United Kingdom. Come 22nd September FISHER returns home to Australia to play a sold out Listen Out festival run and 1 side show in Melbourne selling out in 15 mins, before then heading back to the United Kingdom and the States for more shows.

In the lead up to his 6 Australian shows, Fisher will judge the Triple J Air DJ competition where entrants mime DJ performance of his track ‘Losing It’ and post to social media with the hastag #AuAirDJ
