etcetc is thrilled to today announce the signing of Melbourne producer/songwriter Luboku (Luis Kennett) to the label. Luboku’s first release with etcetc is his new single ‘50 Days’ which is available today and again shows Luboku’s incredible versatility. Already receiving the tick of approval from EDM.com and KCRW's Travis Holcombe, its skittering, upbeat production and heartwarming vocals mark Luboku as a unique new talent on the local electronic scene.

Head of etcetc, Aden Mullens, says, “It’s been hard to ignore the talent of Luboku in 2018. His honest and emotive songwriting makes him an incredibly promising artist who we are proud to welcome to the etcetc family. We are excited to be working with Luboku towards a very bright future.”

Luboku adds, "etcetc have a strong passion for supporting the development of Australian electronic music - exhibited in the music they represent and their dedicated team who are behind some of the biggest names in Australian electronic music currently. I’m very excited to be joining that team and can’t wait to continue growing the project with their support.”

Luboku joins etcetc alongside a vast list of electronic artists both Australian and international including PNAU, Paces, Duke Dumont, Digitalism and Fever Ray. Luboku’s debut EP The Surface will be released on November 23rd via etcetc, shortly after his appearance at this year's Electronic Music Conference in Sydney. Having supported the likes Willaris KWhat So Not and Petit Biscuit, the conference will be another great opportunity for Luboku to showcase his electric live show.

Luboku is no average-sounding affair. He creates deep, shadowy production – a swirling haze of harmonies, marked with dark and brooding melodies – crafted into tracks that are at the same time uplifting and melancholic.

Luboku’s debut solo single 'The Surface' was released in late 2017 - the first single from a new body of work, and also the title track from his impending EP, The Surface. His euphoric recent single 'Without You' then saw support from around the world - with the likes of XLR8R and Indie Shuffle giving it their tick of approval. The track also put him in the sights of triple j Unearthed, who selected him as their Feature Artist. A third single followed, with 'None of You' showing a deeper, more sensitive side of Luboku.
