Sydney’s dynamic up and coming three-piece The Goods have just dropped four flips of their latest summer anthem ‘Peach’, plus dropped a very limited edition 7” vinyl release of the single. The Goods  will also be taking their smooth as silk live show to Sydney’s Newtown Festival this weekend, with Happy Mag including them in their “5 artists you can’t miss” at the festival for their  “breezy, floaty, funky electronica”.

First up on the remixes, B. Bravo takes ‘Peach’ into a heavy funk zone with big drums and added talkbox, while the band’s alter ego The Possé dives deep into soulful house waters. Australia's M5K gives us a little bit of lo-fi boogie/’80s vibe, with Brooklyn Producer and party maestro Sammy Bananas bringing it home.

Vocalist Black Tree reflects on what the song means to the band: "My hope is that it becomes a feel good anthem for sexual liberation. Freedom from shame is after all about opening yourself up to the world and that act of vulnerability breaks down walls and allows us to come together." Reminiscent of early Prince, ‘Peach’ is sure to keep you dancing through the summer with a tasty combination of sweet melody and juicy rhythm.

Bringing a sound that reaches into the realms of spaced out synth funk and low-slung house, The Goods' flavour is both wild and eclectic, yet sharply focused. The Goods are Badmandela, Rosario and Black Tree. All three are players in their own right, with credits between them including artists such as Touch Sensitive, Daniel Merriweather, Omar, Dereb The Ambassador, George Maple, Adele, Ngaiire, Taku + Wafia.

‘Peach’ is The Goods second single release on etcetc Music (home to PNAU, FISHER, Doolie, CLYPSO and more) following ‘Let’s Roll’ which features Australia’s beloved Touch Sensitive on bass. Paving the way towards their new album set to drop early next year – “we really wanted this next body of work to be more collaborative and to move the music in new directions,” explain The Goods.

This new approach comes in step with the group’s development in the live arena. Heralded for their smashing live sets, The Goods have shared stages with the likes of Snarky PuppyOddisee and Onra, in addition to highlight performances at various music festivals.
