Since catapulting onto the scene only two years ago, Sydney duo Set Mo (Nick Drabble & Stu Turner) have racked up millions of plays online, had one of the most played songs on triple j (their massive hit single ‘White Dress’), toured the country including playing marathon ‘Stamina Sessions’ extended sets and have appeared at a slew of major festivals including Splendour In The Grass, Field Day, Mountain Sounds and Beyond The Valley. Now Set Mo have gone back to their club roots with the release of a brand new two-track EP, ‘After Dark Vol. 1’.

With a darker and more club-focused edge than previous singles ‘White Dress’, ‘Comfort You’ and ‘See Right Through Me’, ‘After Dark Vol. 1’ delivers two tracks made for dark dancefloors, with both tracks already being road-tested in Set Mo’s sets on their 10-date Never Ending Summer Tour.

Set Mo explain how the EP came together: “We’ve both been Djing for almost 10 years a piece and seriously love house music as anyone who has heard a set from us can attest to. The After Dark series is an outlet for the tracks we’ve written strictly for the club and we’re very stoked to share Volume 1 with you now. Up first is ‘Yeah’. We wrote this punchy number a couple of years ago and have been playing it in our sets and refining it over that time and we couldn’t be happier to finally let it loose into the world. Secondly we have ‘Merriwa’, written in the town after which it’s named. We spent a solid 10 days writing in Merriwa in country NSW last year and this is the first track (of many) we’re releasing from that very productive trip. On a slightly darker, tribal tip, this one belongs a little later in the night for when the club needs that extra injection of energy. We hope you enjoy these tracks on a dancefloor after dark soon.”

Set Mo will soon be hitting the road once again, performing at Groovin The Moo and returning to Splendour In The Grass. Stay tuned for another major tour announcement next week, which will see Set Mo taking in some Australian locations for the very first time.
