Gold Coast producer Paces has unveiled his debut album Vacation this week, with the album already hitting the top 20 on the iTunes albums chart and #2 on the Electronic chart. The album features the tropical jam ‘1993 (No Chill)’ featuring Jess Kent, which hit the #1 most played spot on triple j in January.

Vacation is a 13-track journey through Paces’ world of tropical beats and forward thinking pop. Paces has worked with a plethora of Australian and international talent on his debut LP, with vocals coming from as far as Brazil (‘Cafuçu’ featuring Bonde do Rolê), Baltimore (‘Work Me Out’ featuring Rye Rye) and Canada (‘Payday’ featuring Maurice Moore). Closer to home, Paces has tapped local vocalists such as Reija Lee, Esther Sparkes, Oliver Tank and a somewhat unexpected appearance by Guy Sebastian to make Vacation a showcase of some of Australia’s brightest talent.

Vacation has already been receiving rave reviews with Stoney Roads calling it “a journey through happy vocals and tropical infused beats” and “an essential for those wanting to live in an endless summer”. Music Feeds also gives Vacation huge props calling it “a bold statement by an artist who it is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.”

This week Consequence of Sound also premiered the latest single to be lifted from Vacation, ‘Work Me Out’ featuring Baltimore singer and rapper Rye Rye. On featuring on the track, Rye Rye said, “I love ‘Work Me Out’ it's kinda chill and sexy at the same time. One of those songs that you blast riding in the car with the windows down and all of your friends singing together. A big vacation party. The beat makes me wanna throw on some genie clothes and head pieces and dance or just lay up on a beach and soak in the weather while being flirty haha.”

Over the past month Paces has been setting sail on the high seas with album launch parties around the country. The Ship To Shore parties featured a swag of special guests including Jess Kent who performed ‘1993 (No Chill)’ live with Paces on The Island in Sydney on Friday night.  Vacation is set to keep summer vibes flowing throughout the year with further tour dates to be announced shortly.
