Little Fritter's Spiced Up House Record 'CHA CHA' Is Finally Here

Already boasting spins from FISHER in his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and triple j Friday Mix, ‘CHA CHA’ is the latest spiced up house record from Gold Coast DJ and producer Little Fritter (Kane Dignum) that everyone has been trying to get their hands on.

Evolving from Little Fritter’s personal love for rare, old funk and Afro records from the ‘70s and ‘80s, ‘CHA CHA’ features a sample from a celebrated 1970s Caribbean Cadence-lypso jam. “I heard that fruity guitar section and I instantly had the urge to try and use it in a track of mine,” shares Fritter. “All the recordings back then were super loose, so they don’t sound super tight and perfect, but that’s what gives them so much character.” After being sculpted into a certified dance-floor igniter, ‘CHA CHA’ immediately grabbed the attention of FISHER who said, “this thing would go off in one of my sets” upon his first listen.

Having recently joined forces with fellow Gold Coast DJ and producer Wongo for a collaborative livestream party project called ‘Need 2 Freak’, Fritter is set to officially launch ‘CHA CHA’ at their next secret party early next month.

Producing from his home on the Gold Coast, Australia (where he grew up surfing and going to school with FISHER), Fritter had a notable beginning as a recording artist with releases already on Tsuba, Viva Music, Moon Harbour, Hudd Traxx, Affin. Most notably, his ‘Endless Summer Love’ remix for Ricardo Villalobos, ‘Miss You So’, a big studio achievement in his early days. His live accomplishments include DJing Love Parade in Germany, Spilt Milk in London, Off Sonar in Barcelona, Below Birmingham and Club De Visionaire in Berlin.

A massive 2019 was spent warming up crowds for long time best mate FISHER and Chris Lake at their sold out shows, putting Little Fritter on everyone’s radar, as well as key sets at all major festivals alongside the likes of Latmun, Melé, and Mason Maynard. Fritter then kicked off the new decade supporting FISHER at a special charity event in Sydney, where over $250,000 was raised for Australian bushfire appeals. If you haven’t been bitten by the Fritter bug yet – fear not, your time is coming!

Keep an eye out for the official ‘CHA CHA’ music video featuring Gold Coast native FISHER, pro-surfer Dimity Stoyle, party-starter Wongo, and Little Fritter’s 6-year-old son, Dusty.
