// MUSIC

 A track that Kilter describes as a “weird indie-rock meets hip-hop meets electro banger”, features his own dad on bass guitar to complete the “live instrumentation vibe”. 'Waste Time' features the ethereal voice of Melbourne-based artist Woodes which finds new grace, as it guide through the gritty distortion on Kilter's production.

Originally starting as an electronic ballad during songwriting, 'Waste Time' became a full fire modern day power ballad with all the energy and aggression you feel when tap out on chasing someone you thought was worth it.

Coming from a musical family, Kilter asked his father Jonathan East if he'd write and record a bass guitar for the track. Recorded in the family kitchen, Mr East adds a warm dissonance in the middle breakdown adding some clever harmonics. The guitar parts come courtesy of Tim Lockwood, Kilter's close friend and touring compadre.

'Waste Time' is one of three singles released today, all available on Kilter's forthcoming Album 'Through The Distortion' now available to pre-order.
