Favourite of the Australian electronic scene, Sydney producer Kilter kicks off 2019 with his brand new release ‘Overdrive’ featuring Byron Bay vocalist Yorke. ‘Overdrive’ explores the edges of pop while still conveying the emotion and fresh edge that fans have come to know and respect from Kilter.

“’Overdrive’ is a nod towards several of my earliest influences as an artist,” explains Kilter. “I expanded on the Dilla bounce in the drums and bass with hyperactive synths, Yorke’s vocals and a whole lot of happy accidents all accumulating in a furious and futuristic samba.”

Having spent the past 12 months writing in Los Angeles and producing for an array of other artists, ‘Overdrive’ is a welcome return for Kilter’s many fans. In the past year Kilter has produced tracks for CLYPSO, Nicole Millar and Doolie to name a few, with his studio expertise making him a go-to for many emerging artists in the scene.

Having debuted ‘Overdrive’ with a live performance at Up/Down festival, Kilter and Yorke will take to the stage at Dylan Alcott’s Ability Fest in Melbourne on April 7th.

With over 40 million streams across his catalogue, making him one of the top 20 most streamed electronic artists in the country, a number one electronic album for his debut LP Through The Distortion, and having been tapped to remix artists such as Duke Dumont, Jax Jones and RÜFÜS DU SOL, Kilter has built a reputation as a weapon producer in the studio. A festival favourite, Kilter’s eclectic live show sees the multi-instrumentalist take on synth, guitar, electronic drums, sample pads and piano. Kilter's prolific and unique approach to music is precisely what makes him such an unparalleled and exciting part of the burgeoning Australian electronic music scene.
