To me the term 'House work' can apply to anything. The lyric has a deeper meaning about my journey in music and how you have to keep at it. The same way that whatever your ambition is 'Throw shade if you don't get paid for that house work!' Hope you think it's vibes. Bless! – Jax Jones

Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, live beat-maker and South London native Jax Jones single ‘House Work’ is an instant house classic. The infectious track features prolific London artist MNEK and Chicago house legend Mike Dunn.

His passion for Chicago house and a meticulous approach to beat-making lead Jax to collaborate with a stalwart in the genre, Mike Dunn. Mike’s immeasurable influence on the Chicago scene, from block party disco sets to classic releases like ‘Phreaky MF’ and ‘God Made Me Phunky’, can claim responsibility for influencing some of today’s biggest successes. Lending vocals to ‘House Work’ is MNEK, who also co-wrote the track with Jax Jones, the songwriting protégé behind hits for Rudimental, Gorgon City and notably Duke Dumont. This particular mutual friendship lead to Jax’s biggest success to date with a co-production on Dumont’s monster hit ‘I Got U’ resulting in his first UK #1 and well-deserved BRIT and Grammy Award nominations. Currently collaborating with vocalists and musicians across the genre spectrum, Jax Jones’ forthcoming album promises to be an eclectic, living body of work.
