Adelaide-bred DJ and producer Flash 89 has cemented himself as one of house music’s emerging new breed, showcasing a swag of dancefloor energy across imprints like Solotoko, Armada SUBJKT, Lapsus, Non Stop, Safe, Abode, etcetc and Sweat It Out. Today, Flash 89 is back, reworking the Kylie Minogue classic ‘Slow’, spinning the brooding original into a dancefloor ready tech-house track titled ‘Dance With Me’.
Flash 89 talks about how the rework came about: “Dance With Me was inspired to bring the infectious rhythm and vocals of Kylie Minogue's 'Slow' into 2022. It’s driven by a rolling bass line and club groove designed to drop in the peak of the night.”
Discovering his passion for music during his teenage years, Flash 89 became infatuated with the energetic sounds of Fake Blood, Switch and Plump DJs after watching these artists perform at the renowned Parklife Festival.
